How about some quests with wacky items that can set you apart from the crowd? Here are some unusual items and uses for keeping the item instead of turning in the quest.
Fun with the Archmage
In Netherstorm Outlands, there is a small floating island south of the area where the Curse of the Violet Tower quest series begins. You are to use a staff that summons an image of Archmage Vargoth. The thing is, you can use the staff to summon the Archmage anywhere. So, many people aren’t completing the quest, just keeping the staff to summon the image of Archmage Vargoth for parties, arenas, to dance with at the end of a long raid.
Perhaps you have might have already done this quest on a main character, or figure that the quest reward isn’t for you. Why not keep the staff and enjoy the image of Archmage Vargoth whenever you want?

Furbolg Suit
An Alliance quest in Astranaar, Ashenvale allows you to have rod that turns you into Furbolg This rod can be used an infinite number of times and the shapeshifting effect will last for three minutes or until a character takes. If you only finish enough of “Raen’s Cleansing” quest to obtain the rod, you can turn yourself into a Furbolg at anytime.
Think of the possibilities?
This can be a neat little item during the Hollow’s Eve festival. While everyone else is running around in with traditional Hollow’s Eve wanded pirate outfits and whatnot, you can run around in the streets in your furry [ furbolg suit ] . There are limited animations for the furbolg, but it’s a fun little item.

SCENIC Places to See
Teldrassil
Although Teldrassil is really out of the way for Horde characters, it is a really interesting place to see. It has all kinds of nooks and crannies for exploring.
Hidden Bear Cave
Just NE of Ben’ethil Hollow Cave (if you look at the map) is another cave that is slight off the beaten path and not easy to find. If you exit the road due NE of the Ben’ethil Cave you will see a slight trail behind the nightsabres and a tree. Following the trail continues all the way North, but at one point there is a slight fork, with a trail heading slight SE which leads to the cave. There is nothing in the cave, no NPCs…but it sure makes a nice place to host a guild meeting, party, or a good place to hibernate if you are a druid. hehe
On an additional note, if you head down the slope East outside the cave opening, you end up in the Newbie Zone of the Night Elves thus avoiding any guards. If you’re horde that opens up interesting possibilities. But you didn’t hear that from me.

Limbs
The thing about Teldrassil is that it’s a big tree. Big trees mean hanging out on branches and on Teldrassil you can do the same. Due SE of Starbreeze Village is an outlet to a branch of Teldrassil you can sit on. In fact, that entire area heading west has several branches that you can head onto and sit. Be very careful not to slip though, it’s a long way down and you can’t retrieve your body.

RPing Tips
The art of Emotes
I love emotes. Emotes can add whimsy, humor, and depth to your character and situation. Sullivan over at [ HandofValor.com ], writes,
“Emotes cover alot of ground in role-playing: They can help express emotion. They add a descriptive edge to conversations. They enhance other actions in-game.
They help define character quirks and mannerisms.”
To any player action or RPing, you can easily add a premade emote from the game menu such as /smile, /listen, or /greet. RPers tend to add their own longer, more detailed emotes, such as “Stardancer greets Windrunner happily and gives her hug.” Another interesting emote is a possessive … use the slash command /e, add a space, and an apostrophe s then type out your action. When the emote is displayed in the chat window it will read something like,
“[Windrunner] ’s hand rests firmly on the hilt of her sword.”Macros can be helpful for certain emotes or for spells that aren’t used very often such as [ summoning a mount ] . You can grab the standard mount macro code from wowwiki.
(/use [nomounted, outdoors]You might also add the following lines:.)
/e lets out a high-pitched whistle and a large striped Night sabre bounds happily towards her.Sullivan also recommends using differing emotes over time instead of using something like /smile three times in a row. Also, be respectful of other players. Avoid spamming emotes such as /spit towards other players of either faction. [ Handofvalor.com ] has many more advanced and creative RPing macros. So take look.
/s Good to see you again Shade.
Have fun!
